Dr. Harry Portnoy, vice president of Detroit Mizrachi; board mem-
bers Erry Loewenthal and Rabbi Samuel H. Prero; and Roland Beurer
and Saadia Greenberg and their wives, will be official Detroit area
delegates to the 62nd annual Mizrachi (Religious Zionists of America)
convention in Jerusalem Aug. 4-8. Many Detroit Mizrachi members
and friends living or visiting in Israel will join the local delegates at
the convention, whose featured speakers will be Prime Minister Golda
Meir, Minister of Defense Moshe Dayan and Minister of Foreign
Affairs Abb a Eb a n .
Mr. and Mrs. M. Manuel Merzon of Westhampton Ave., Oak Park,
were honored on their 40th wedding anniversary at a cocktail-dinner
party given at the Winchester Ct., Oak Park, home of their daughter
and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bob Torgow. The Merzons, who are active
in Orthodox circles, are members of Young Israel Center of Oak-Woods.
