Kahane's Critics Respond Coolly on David Frost TV Show
NEW YORK (JTA) — The issue
of Soviet Jewry will take up
virtually all of today's edition of
the 90-minute syndicated "David
Frost Show. – -"
The television program, taped
here June 28, featui- es. in order
of appearance, Rabbi ?Heir
Kahane, national chairman of the
Jewish Defense League: Dore
Schary, playwright and honorary
chairman of the Anti-Defamation
League of Bnai Brith: and Prof.
Hans J. .Morgenthau, political
scientist at the University of Chi-
cago and City College here.
Rabbi Kahane defends .JDL

On.a lighter note, Rabbi Kahane
describes his protest to the New

Jewish players as "a very, very
big put-on."
He tells Frost: "We telephoned
the Mets and we demanded 20.2

Jewish. We thought that.Art Sham-

time we also wanted a Bulgarian

apparently was so absurd that
everybody missed it."
