Morris Cohen to Head
Harvard Law Library
PHILADELPHIA — Easy-going
Morris L. Cohen will become law
librarian at the Harvard Law
School Thursday, taking charge of
1,200,000 books and a staff of 70.
Cohen, now the law librarian at
the University of Pennsylvania,
summed up his professional quali-
fications to Israel Shenker in the

Before his invitation to Harv-
ard, Cohen had considered emi-
grating to Israel, where he helped
move the Hebrew University's law
library to Mount Scopus.
In addition to his duties at Penn,
Cohen is president of the American
Association of Law Libraries and
author of a text "Legal Research
in a Nutshell." He was graduated
from Columbia Law School and
studied library science at Pratt
Institute.
