Robert G. Slatkin has been elect-
ed president of the junior division
of the Jewish Welfare Federation.
Slatkin has been active in the di-
vision for several years. During
the past year he served as general
chairman of its Allied Jewish Cam-
paign-Israel Emergency Fund and
chairman of the executive com-
mittee.
Robert .M. Rubin was elected
chairman of the executive com-
mittee. Burton Farbman, Lawr-
ence Jackier and Mrs. Robert Slat-
kin were elected vice presidents.
Elected to the executive com-
mittee were Harvey Brode, Joel
Gershenson, Mrs. Robert L. Levy,
Edward A. Lumberg and Richard
Maddin.
Serving a first term on the board
of directors will be Mrs. Jerome
Acker, Linda August, Mrs. Alan
Finer, Alan Glass, Joel Goodman,
Sheila Glass, Neil Satovsky and
Mrs. Robert Sorock.
Re-elected to the board were
Frederic R. Bean, Melvin Bonin,

and Dr. Donald L. Golden, direc-
tor of the Detroit Optometric
Centers, join forces on the golf
links against cystic fibrosis. The
scene is the annual Alex Karras
Celebrity Golf Classic in Fenton,
proceeds of which went to the
fund. In addition, Dr. Golden,
who played in the match, pre-
sented his check to help in the
fight against the dread children's
disease. Golden's firm co-spon-
sored telecast of the proceedings.

Edward Ginsberg, general chair-
man of the United Jewish Appeal,
announced the appointment of
DONALD H. KLEIN of Cleveland
as assistant executive vice chair-
man.
