NEW YORK—Rubin R. Dobin
of Lawrence, N.Y., has been ap-
pointed executive vice chairman of
the Bar-Ilan University board of
directors. Dr. Joseph H. Look-
stein, chancellor of the university,

,ers for the Western Hemisphere.
Dobin served as chairman of
special projects for the Jewish Na-
tional Fund of America. He is a
member of the executive board of
the Union of Orthodox Jewish Con-
regations of America, and of the
Delegates Plenum of the Syna-
gogue Council of America.
He is president of his Rotary
Club and chairman of his area
•e Corps Service Council.

The eighth annual DETROIT
ADVENTURE "Excursions in
Music" fund drive was launched at
a luncheon meeting to help under-
write the costs of presenting the
ensembles of Detroit Symphony
musicians in Detroit and suburban
public and parochial schools. The
program was conceived by
NATHAN GORDON, first violist
of the Detroit Symphony. As a
result of its casual yet stimulating
approach to good music, the usual
barriers between artist and audi-
ence are bridged, and the children
are given a glimpse into the na-
ture of the musical process.
