The son of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Spinner of Beechaven Dr., Southfield, Cpl. Spinner served as a gunner and avionics specialist with the 167th Helicopter Squadron, stationed at Danang. He received the combat air crew insignia award and air medal. Next month, he will report to El Toro Air Base in California, where he will complete his enlistment. Cpl. Spinner is a graduate of Groves High School, Birmingham, and attended Temple Emanu-El Religious School. Mr. and Mrs. Norman (Gloria) Levin are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Levin of Southfield Rd., Southfield, following the com- pletion of two years in Seoul as members of the Peace Corps. The Norman Levins will make their home in New York, where they will attend Columbia University. Mr. Levin will attend the school of inter- national affairs, and his wife will work on her masters degree in speech therapy. The couple toured Southeast Asia and India before coming here. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gold of Everett Ave., Southeld, recently gave a surprise 65th birthday party for former Detroiter Leo Podden of Miami Beach, who is visiting here with his wife. The Poddens have just returned from a trip to Europe and Israel. While in Israel, Mrs. Podden presented a scholarship to the Technion in honor of her hus- band's birthday. The 50th wedding anniversary of Faye and Louis H. Bogrow of Votrobeck Ct. was celebrated at a dinner for immediate family at Topinka's Country House Tuesday evening. Hosts were their children, the Milton and Harold Bogrows.
