The presentation was made in Cleveland at the convention of the region, comprising some 30 chapters in five states. Dr. Greene, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, h a s devoted most of his professional career to teach- ing and research in the field of en- vironmental mi- , crobiology. H e Dr. Greene devoted consider- able effort to the bioscience effort of the American space program and did extensive work in the field of atmospheric microbiology and planetary quarantine. In 1970, he spent four months in the United Kingdom conduct- ing a special research survey of British infection control pro- grams. He is a visiting biologist for the American Institite of Biological Sciences. A leader in the Minneapolis Jew- ish comaiunity, Dr. Greene is on the board of the Minneapolis Torah Academy and the Herzl Camp As- sociation. He is on the College and University Council of the Lubavitch Youth Organization and in both 1969 and 1970, delivered the Luba- vitch Foundation annual lecture in 'London.
