must take upon himself the respon-
sibility for its support and con-
tinuation, and with it the duty of
personal ;study. Concern for the
life of the synagogue or other
religious institutions is not enough,
for such endeavors must remain
inadequate as long as the pressing

scholarship. The science of religion
constitutes the best protection and
defense of religion, for a scientific
study of religious history renews
and confirms the core-meaning of
religious truth."

WEEKEND COLLEGE

Have you considered attending College on Saturdays? Many took advantage of O.C.C.'s new weekend program
during the winter session, and the response has encouraged an expansion of the schedule for the spring session.

The Weekend College program is not an offering of random courses without purpose, but a genuine opportunity
to fulfill educational goals under a degree program of your choosing.

Weekend College courses parallel those of the day and evening classes, same credit, same length, same textbook,
same instructors, same fees: the only difference is that all courses are taught on Saturday.

The Spring session for the Weekend College will run from May 1 through July 31.

DAYTIME EXTENSION CLASSES

Classes have been scheduled at two centers during the day for those who would find it difficult to attend the
evening classes. For those living in the Clawson area, Trinity Lutheran on 14 Mile between Crooks and Main,
will be most convenient. St. Justin on the corner of Merrill and Evelyn in Hazel Park is only a few minutes
( ct. istoy for residents living in the Southeast portion of the County.

PLAY AREAS FOR CHILDREN

Free supervited play areas are located at each day center for the convenience of students with pre-school children.
