be the guest of honor at the city-
wide Detroit Zionist Federation by Carmi Slomovitz, president of

for Israel, Americans for Pro-
gressive Israel and Bnai Zion.
The dinner will be the occasion
of Rabbi Goren's first visit to De-
troit in eight years and a citywide
welcome is being prepared for him.
This also will be the initial Israel
Bond Festival to Honor Louis Levine
Among the leaders planning the Labor Zionist-Landsmanshaften
Israel 23rd anniversary celebration on May 10, at Bnai Moshe,
honoring Louis Levine, are (from left) Norman Blake, Labor Zionist-

who has been active in many phases of Jewish communal life for
nearly 50 years, is president of the Farband City Committee. Jacob
Barmore, minister of Israel to the United Nations, will be the guest
speaker, with Hka Raveh, Israeli folk singer, as guest artist. The
celebration will be in the form of a rally and will start at 8:30 p.m.
