Passover on Eternal Light Show

Mrs. Arthur J. Goldberg, Dr. Bernard Mandelbaum, president
of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America; and Justice Goldberg
discuss the Goldberg family Hagada, and their interpretation of the
Passover seder, on the Eternal Light Passover special, to be aired
on WNBC and the NBC network, 4 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14.

Beth Jacob students and alum-
nae held a surprse party in the

Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, school
principal.
Rabbi Goldstein has been affili-
ated with Yeshivath Beth Yehu-
dah and Beth Jacob School for
the past 25 years.
The girls prepared the meal and
provided the entertainment—songs
by the school choir, led by Debby
Baum, and by the school halil
group, under the direction of Es-
ther Landsman.
Rabbi Jacob Levi spoke on be-
half of the faculty, and Dena
Avtzon, student president, was
mistress of ceremonies.
Rabbi Goldstein was presented
with complete accessories for the
Shabat table, including cande-
labra, dishes and Shabat table-
cloth—all chosen and paid for by
the girls. In addition, a scrapbook
was presented to him with auto-
graphs from alumnae and stu-
dents.
In expressing his appreciation
and surprise, Rabbi Goldstein
commented that perhaps his reins
at the school need to be tightened
because he was totally unaware
of the event being planned.
