CO-OPERATIVE COUNCIL,
League of Jewish Women's Organi-
zations, will meet 9:30 a.m. Thurs-
day at the home of Mrs. Marvin
B. Levy, 20239 Forrestwood, South-
field. Presidents and case workers
of the 14 constituent groups com-
prising the council are asked to
attend. Plans will be completed
for the Passover seder, to take
place April 13 at Yeshivath Beth
Yehuda. A complete luncheon will
be served to patients, who will be
bussed in by the Northville, Wayne
County General, Lapeer, Plymouth
and Ypsilanti hospitals.

MRS. GERARD O'DESKY

Linda Florence Rosenthal be-
came the bride of Dr. Gerard
Myron O'Desky in a recent cere-
mony at the Raleigh House, at
which Rabbi M. Robert Syme and
Cantor Harold Orbach officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Joel Rosenthal of Wendy
Ln., Southfield, and Mr. and Mrs.
Carl O'Desky of Chicago.
The bride, who carried her con-
firmation Bible, was attended by
Mrs. Marvin Horowitz as matron
of honor. Her brother Richard was
best man.
The couple is living in Southfield.

Marcia Ann to Roger Bruce Fen-
ton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Fenton of Bonstelle Ave., South-

ate of the University of Michigan
and holds a masters degree in li-
brary science from Wayne State
University. Mr. Fenton is a gradu-
ate of Michigan State University
and a senior at the Chicago. Col-
lege of Osteopathic Medicirre. They
plan to marry in June.

Women, will meet 8:30 p.m
Thursday at the home of Mrs. Abe
Silberschein, 12820 Northfield,
Oak Park. Rabbi Gerald Werner,
principal of Akiva Day School, will
discuss "Jews in the World of
Medicine." Friends are invited.

PYTHIAN SISTERS' member-
ship tea will be held" 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday at the Workmen's Cir-
cle Center. Refreshments and en-
tertainment are included. Temple
officers will be hostesses. At the
April 7 meeting the rummage sale,
smorgasbord and convention will
be discussed.

Women's American ORT will have
a wine-tasting party, entitled
"Wine, Women and Cheese," 8
p.m., April 3 at the Echo Valley
Apartments, Farmington. Charity
Suczek will describe various wines

the ORT engineering school. For

en's American ORT, will hold a
rummage sale at the Royal Oak
Woman's Club. The hours will be
7:30-10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9-11
a.m. Wednesday.

The United Hebrew Schools'
nursery: school, 15110 W. 10 Mile,
Oak Park, will hold an open house
for parents and children .3-5 p.m.
. Sunday.
Now in its 21st year, the nurs-
ery offers pre-school youngsters
the cultural aspects of Judaism'
through songs, stories, games and
holiday customs.
Enrollment is taking place for
September, and children 3 to 5
may be registered for two, three
or five mornings a week, or five
afternoons. Children must be 4
years old by Dec. 1 in order to
register for afternoon sessions.
Morning sessions meet from 9 to
11:30 a.m. and afternoon sessions
from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Transportation
is available in Southfield, ;Hunt-
ington Woods and Oak Ipark. The
nursery is licensed by the state
of Michigan.

BROWN-CAMINKER: In a re-
cent ceremony at -Temple Israel,
Marcia Joan Caminker became the
bride of Lawrence Alfred Brown,
with Rabbis Leon Fram• and M.
Robert Syme officiating. Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Caminker of Starlane
Ave. Southfield, are the parents
of the bride. He is the son of Mrs.
Arthur Brown of Maryland Ave.,
Southfield, and the late Mr. Brown.
The bridal gown was of cut velvet,
and the headpiece a cap of fresh
daisies to match the bride's bou-
quet, adorning the Bible given to
her by her husband. Bette Gail
Caminker was her sister's maid of
honor, and Myron Tink was best
man. The couple's grandmothers,
Mrs. Sadie Caminker and Mrs. Cele
Brown, were escorted by the bride's
brother, Harold, and the bride-
groom's brother-in-law, Alan Mali-
sow. The newlyweds now live in
Southfield.
