Art to Go on Beth Abraham Block

Shaarey Zedek Colloquy With Borowitz
and Greenberg to Probe Modern Faith

Two Jewish scholars, Rabbis

The men's club of Cong. Beth Abraham will host an art auction
and exhibit March 28 in the social hall. The champagne preview
will start at 2 p.m. and the auction at 3:30. Proceeds will go toward
the synagogue's youth program in the new synagogue. All synagogue
affiliates are cooperating. The public is invited. Shown • are (from

SYNAGOGUE

Eugene Borowitz and Irving Green-
berg, will take part in a colloquy
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek March 28,
in tribute to the memory of Rabbi
Morris Adler.
The colloquy, sponsored by the
synagogue's cultural commission
in association with the Rabbi Mor-
ris Adler Memorial Foundation,
will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. in
the social hall. The title is: "Chal-
lenges to Jewish Faith: What Can
a Modern Jew Believe?"
The two well-known scholars,
who represent the Reform (Boro-
witz) and Orthodox viewpoints,
will explore fundamental issues of
Jewish faith that confront the
modern Jew. Rabbi Irwin Groner
will be the moderator.
In the first part of the collo-
quy, from 4 to 6 p.m., the parti-
cipants will discuss "Contempor-
ary Dimension and Its Challenge

Rabbi Halpern's sermon will be "Seeing Is Believing: a Firsthand
View of Life in the State of Israel." Jeffrey Phillips, Bar Mitzva

from Exodus, Chapters 21-24.

TEMPLE EMANU-EL: Services 8:15 p.m. today and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Rabbi Rosenbaum will speak on "I Gave at the Office." Barry

CONG. BNAI MOSHE: Services 8:15 p.m. today and 8:45 a.m. Satur-
day. Rabbi _Lehrman will discuss "Symptom of Our Times" today.

CONG. BNAI ISRAEL OF PONTIAC: Services 8:30 p.m. today and
7:30 a.m. Saturday. Rabbi Berman will speak on "The Union of Re-
ligion and Psychiatry" at services conducted by Hebrew classes
III and IV today.

TEMPLE ISRAEL: Services 8:30 p.m. today and 11 a.m. Saturday.
Rabbi Synie will discuss "The Next Step in Reform—at Temple
