of Edison, N.J., announce the en-
gagement of their daughter Carole
Sue Forgang to Laurence A. Miller,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Miller
of Seneca'Ave., Oak Park.
Miss Forgang, daughter of the
late Mr. Sidney Forgang, attended
Kent State University and was
graduated from Fairleigh Dickin-
son University.
Mr. Miller was graduated from
Wayne State University, where he
was a member of Sigma Alpha
Mu Fraternity. He attends the
University of Michigan's dental
school and belongs to Alpha Omega
dental fraternity.
An August wedding date is set.
MISS ROSALIND HEIDEMAN
Dr. and Mrs. Louis Heideman of
Wagon Wheel Dr., Birmingham,
announce the engagement of their
daughter Rosalind Diane to Louis
Phillipp Rochkind, son of Dr. and
Mrs. Reuben Rochkind of Miami.
The couple was graduated from
the University of Michigan and
will attend the law school there.
A July wedding is planned.
`Church Struggle and Holocaust'
Topic of 3-Day Seminar at WSJ
A three-day interdisciplinary
seminar on "The Church Struggle
and Holocaust" will draw a num-
ber of noted scholars to Wayne
State University, beginning Sun-
day.
The conference, under the spon-
sorship of the Walker and Ger-
trude Cisler Library and the
university, is the second annual
meeting dealing with the German
struggle and the European Holo-
caust.
In planning the conference, the
Cisler Library board hoped "that
this opportunity for discussion and
stimulation based on the German
experience might help to sharpen
our understanding of our own
contemporary society."
Among the speakers will be
Dr. Uriel Tal of the Hebrew
University, who will address a
noon luncheon and a 2 p.m.
session Monday in the Univer-
sity Center. His topics will be
"Present Research in Israel:
Facilities and Programs" and
"Christian and Anti-Christian
Roots of Modern Anti-Semitism,"
respectively.

Y. Agnon, Is-
rael's Nobel Prize
winning author.
American - born,
she moved to Is-

for Israel and as administrator of
its institutions in Israel.
Coffee and cake will follow the
lecture. Rabbi Jacob E. Segal
will be the discussion moderator.
The March 23 speaker will be
Dr. Sonya Kiel Friedman, psy-
chologist and columnist. An hour
study session, beginning at 7:45,
precedes the lecture.
