LI '

TAJ MAHAL on Cass and Willis,
is looking for a place on the north-
west side of town .. The little
North Indian eatery has some of
the most delightful dishes encoun-
tered by savory taste buds ... and
is a prime example of good food
overcoming its surroundings .
In fact, some of the best food
served in America can be found
in little two by four spots without
any atmosphere.
IT'S A NICE RIDE and well
worth it to Duffy's on Union Lake
. . . with cocktails, good food and
delightful entertainment all fea-
tured . . . Take Orchard Lake Rd.
to Commerce, left to Union, right
to Cooley and left to 8635, which
is the address for a good time at
Duffy's . . . also open on Sundays
at 4 p.m. and closed Mondays .. .
Reservations are suggested on the
weekend eves.

In preparation of food. --
STAN AND YETrA YATES

A TOURIST IN CHINA watched
as three prominent Chinese were
being buried . . . As the first cas-
ket was lowered, several Chinese
women came forward, placing
chickens, rice, bread and wine on
the coffin ... "What's that for?"
asked the visiio
r*. "That is our
custom,"_ answered one of the
mourners, " so that the body of
the dead man will not go hungry."
. . The same procedure was fol-
lowed when the second casket was
lowered . . . When the third was
lowered:only a single cup of rice
was placed on it . . . "Say," mut-
tered the stranger, "how come
they put such a little bit of food on
that coffin?" . . . The Chinese
shrugged, "That was Sing Lee. He
was on a diet."
