Launch Drive
The young leadership division
of the Flint United Jewish Appeal
will hold a dinner 6 p.m. Wednes-
day at the Phoenix Club.

He was graduated from the Uni-
versity of Miami and is president
of a firm which manufactures aca-
demic caps and gowns and re-
ligious attire. He is also a member
of the board of Roanoke Telecas-
ters, Inc.
Henry Livingston;
Headed Beth El Club
Henry Livingston, G-3100 Miller
Rd., died March 4 at age 58 in
Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was a member of Temple
Beth El, past president of Beth El
Brotherhood and a member of Elks
Club.
Mr. Livingston owned and oper-
ated Flint Scrap Iron and Metal
and also was owner of the Flint
Waste Paper Company, which in
1962 merged with Flint Scrap Iron
and Metal.

Both are graduates of the Uni-
versity of Michigan. The bride-
elect attends Chicago-Kent College
of Law, and her fiance is a stu-
dent at the University of Connec-
ticut School of Law.

Sheldon Weinstein has been ap
pointed director of RAP House,
the Fenton youth center for drug
education. On the staff of Rubicon
House. Flint drug addiction cen-
ter for the past six months, he
is a student in clinical psychology
at the Flint College of the Uni-
versity of Michigan.
Born in Flint. Weinstein was
graduated in 1963 from Flint Cen-
tral High School. He served four
years in the air force and in 1968
attended Eastern Michigan Uni-
versity. Weinstein, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Weinstein. is a sur-
gical technician at McLaren Gen-
eral Hospital.

dinner, announced that Flint Jewry is responding to the critical
needs in Israel at an all-time high. Givers in the initial, advance
and pacesetters divisions combined for the dinner and every gift
announced was considerably higher than the record gifts of the crisis

Seek School Board Terms on April 5
Murray E. Moss and Mrs. Rich-
ard Rapport are candidates for
six-year terms on the Flint Board
of Education. Elections will be held
April 5.
Moss, 53, owner of the Moss In-
surance Agency, has been a Flint
resident for 15 years.
He has a bachelor's degree in
education from St. Johns Univer-
sity in New York.
He is a member of the citizens
advisory board of Flint College of
the University of Michigan and
the Board of County Institutions.
He is president of Cong. Beth Is-
rael and past president of both the
Genesee County Democratic Com-
mittee and the Independent Insur-
ance Agents of Genesee County.
Mrs. Rapport, a Flint resident
