JWV Will Sponsor
Housing for Elderly
LOS ANGELES — The Jewish
War Veterans of the USA will
shortly sponsor a number of hous-
ing communities for the elderly,
as part of the 236 program of the
FHA.
According to National Com-
mander Albert Schlossberg, two
such 'communities are on the draw-
ing board, one in Florida and one
in southern California. Each would
contain between 200 and 250 =its.
"We are entering the housing
field," Commander. Schlossberg
pointed out, "because of the crit-
ical housing shortage which is
adding burdens to the elderly,
many of them veterans, who find
themselves the particular victims
of both deteriorating existing hous-
ing and the ravages of inflation."
