Maimonides Medical Society's
Women's Auxiliary will hold its
25th annual donor luncheon and
fashion show noon March 23 at
the Raleigh House.
Mrs. Charles Kessler, president,
said plans for the silver anniver-
sary luncheon are being coordi-
nated by Mrs. Robert Baruch, gen-

Planning Fund Drives
Arnie Lesterre Art Galleries is
featuring a selection of lithographs
by Israeli and other Jewish artists,
as well as oil paintings by promis-
ing young artists, for consignment
to nonprofit organizations seeking
to raise funds.
Emil Spilman, owner of the
gallery, which opened in Septem-
ber, said many of the art works
are priced low enough to accom-
modate beginning collectors.
The galleries, at 28911 Southfield,
Lathrup Village, is named for Spil-
man's grandchildren, Arnie, Leslie
and Terri. He - said the business
offers hand-carved frames and dis-
tinctive gifts, as well as paintings
and custom framing.

Purim Praline Treat
The people who make Mazola
unsalted margarine offer this spe-
cial Purim treat:
PRALINE CANDY
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 (51/2-ounce) can evaporated milk
2 ibis light corn syrup
1/2 cup Mazola unsalted margarine
I tsp. vanilla
11/2 cups pecan halves
Combine sugar, evaporated milk and
corn syrup in 2-qt. saucepan. Stirring
constantly, cook over medium heat
until mixture comes to a boll. Continue
cooking stirring occasionally, until
temperature reaches 233°P. or until
a small amount of mixture dropped
into very cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat. Add margarine: do
not stir. Cool to lukewarm (110 de-
grees). Add vanilla and beat until
creamy. Stir In pecans. Drop by tea-
spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Shape
with a spoon into a 25-inch circle.
