first airline academy to conduct
such a course.
A TWA spokesman said that a
large
.. percentage of TWA passen-
gers are observant Jews who must
have kosher food. The spokesman
said TWA decided to institute the
course which Includes instructions
on the ritually proper way to han-
dle the pre-packaged kosher - meals
taken aboard airliners for passen-
gers requesting them. Rabbi Her-
bert I. Berger conducts the course
and is seeking to persuade other
airlines to sponsor similar classes.
