Arthur Baum Sr., Insurance Agent

Arthur A. Bauni St., an insur-
ante agent for 38 years, died Jan.
29 at age 71. A general agent for
Manhattan Life Insurance Co., his

Susan Ellen Krieger, 21, was
killed in an automobile' accident
Tuesday morning on Telbgraph
Rd.
Mrs. Krieger, a bride of less
than two weeks, was a secretary
at Highland Appliance in Pontiac
Mall. She was a native Detroiter.
Surviving are her husband, Don-
ald; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip
Shlom; grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Max Vernon of Israel; three
brothers, Gordon, Larry and Rich-
ard, and a sister, Judith.

Donald Moss, Head
of IRS Division in LA

Donald Moss, a native Detroiter
who headed the estate' division of
the Los Angelds office, Internal
Revenue Service, for the past
decade, died Jan. 27 at age 57.
Mr. Moss, who attended the law
school of Wayne State University,
lived in California for the past 20
years.
He leaves his wife, Helen, of
Monterey Park, Calif.; a son, Stan-
ley; a daughter, Shane; and four
brohters, Edwin and Charles, both
of Detroit, and Herbert and Irv-
ing. Interment Los Angeles.

Fritz Feigl, Biochemist,
Brazil Community Head

RIO DE JANEIRO (JTA)-Prof.
Fritz Feigl, an eminent biochem-
ist and president of Brazil's Jew-
ish Community Federation, died
Jan. 28 at age 79. Prof. Feigl was
born in Vienna and came to Brazil
in 1940.
He was the author of 600 works
in his field and held more than two
dozen medals, awards and honorary
memberships from scientific in-
stitutions in 14 countries. Among
the latter were the Hebrew Uni-
versity in Jerusalem, the Weiz-
mann Insitute of Science in Reho-
vot and the Vatican Academy of
Science.

TEL AVIV (JTA) - Joseph
Zemian, an engineer and author
of "The Cigarette Sellers," a book
about Jewish children in Warsaw
under the Nazis, died Saturday at
age 4&
Zemian, who was born -in War-
saw and lived there during the
ghetto 'period, was a member of
the underground and saved many
Jews.
Among the mourners of his death
were now-adult Poles who survived
the era in which as children they
peddled cigarettes in Warsaw.
