Zack, president of the Jewish National Fund. Tu b'Shevat, or the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat, which this year comes on Feb. 10, marks the budding of trees and is cele- brated with the planting of new ones. In his letter, Zack said, "By , Its very nature, Tu b'Shevat. also known as the New Year of the Trees, is generally associ- ated with children. In Israel, for example, each pupil Is con- tributing at least one tree." Zack also reminded school offi- cials that the Children's Victory Forest in Jerusalem will be com- pleted in 1971.
