JNF Sabbath
to Be - Observed
David P. Zack, president of the
Jewish National Fund, has con-
tacted rabbis and synagogue of-
ficials throughout Michigan in
connection with the annual Jewish
National Fund Sabbath, Feb. 6.
Many sermons on this day will
include the aims and achievements
of the Jewish National Fund. It
also serves as an occasion for an
appeal for the planting of trees in
Israel.
In his letter, Zack urged a re-
newed effort on behalf of JNF and
asked for full participation on the
JNF Sabbath, which occurs just
prior to Tu b'shevat, the New Year
of the Trees.
