Millers and Jack Beaus. of the Young Dancers Guild to Mark Decade of Activity at Center Young Dancers Guild, the teen- age performing dance company of the Jewish Center, will celebrate 10 years of creative activity with its 1971 Winter Concert 8:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Jewish Center. The guild offers young dancers training in contemporary dance techniques and a workshop atmo- sphere in which to try out experi- mental ideas in choreography. The guild a'..so serves as a lab- oratory for gaining performing skills through many community performances throughout the year. The 1971 Winter Concert re- flects the wide range of musical in- terests of this group. Susan Kirschner has choreo- graphed a suite based on Renais- sance music for dance, while Me- linda Hufana was inspired by the primitive rhythm of Santana. Erica Herman and Harriet Freedman attended a workshop for high school dancers this sum- mer and have adapted two dances from that repertory for the guild.
