Rockefeller will head a list of distinguished speakers at the inaugural con- vocation of the New York Board of Rabbis' 90th anniversary year at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Tuesday night. The rabbis have chosen this an- niversary to honor four distinguish- ed laymen and one rabbi for their contributions to America and to world Jewry. They are: William Kaufman, president of the advisory council of the New York Board of Rabbis; Jack D. Weiler, chairman of the board of the council, and Max Stern, vice chairman of the board; Charles H. Silver, president of the International Synagogue at JFK Airport; and Rabbi Harold H. Gordon, executive vice president of the New York Board of Rabbis, who will be cited for his quarter century of service to the rabbinic group and the community.
