Annual Dinner Meeting Set Nov. 29
The Flint Jewish Community
Council's annual dinner meeting
6:30 p.m., Nov. 29 at Cong. Beth
Israel will honor leaders of the
Flint United Jewish Appeal and
Israel Emergency Fund. Featured
speaker will be Dr. Aryeh Nesher,
director of the Israel Education
Fund.
Dr. Nesher, a social scientist,
is a consultant in human relations
to the Israeli government and
Jewish Agency. He is a former
lecturer at the Tel Aviv School
of Law and Economics and on the
staff of the Afro-Asian Institute.
After World War I, he was
secretary of the Central Commit-
tee of Liberated Jews of the U.S.
Military Zone in Germany, and
in 1950, he joined the ministry of
labor as an assistant in economic
affairs.

Dr. Jack Stanzler, chairman of
the Jewish Community Council's
community relations committee,
announced the publication of a
new bi-weekly Mid East news
bulletin, Operation Masada.
Explaining the purpose of the
bulletin, Dr. Stanzler said there is
a tremendous volume of Mid East
news reports and analysis in the
media. Because the situation is
grave and subject to rapid change,
a special subcommittee was form-
ed to cull these reports and pro-
vide a sheet of news highlights,
he said.
Mrs. Ronald Goldstein and Mrs.
Edward Powers, editors, stated
that the newsletter also will be
sent to college students, Hillel
houses and interested individuals
in the non-Jewish community. Mrs.
Alfred Klein, who assisted in the
project, said the committee in-
