CoL Sarah Halevy said that about 35,000 Israeli girls in the corps had gone through various WIZO insti- tutions prior to joining the Air Force and as a result were very well equipped for military service. Col. Halevy spoke at the opening meeting of the membership drive launched by the Federation of Women Zionists of Great Britain and Ireland. She said that female members of Israel's armed forces do not go into battle but fulfill many vital tasks at various levels.
