"The air- port reception was an emotional, inspiring experience. Mrs. Kurtz, with her husband Samuel, founded Flint Memorial Park in 1933 and actively worked the past 37 years in and with the cemetery and mausoleum. She was an active member with her husband in the National Asso- ciation of Cemeteries for the past 32 years, and attended the conven- tions and meetings of this national organization. Mrs. Kurtz was born in Austria and had lived in Flint for the past 50 years, moving to Florida four years ago. She married Kurtz Oct. 31, 1922. Mrs. Kurtz was a member of Temple Beth El, Cong. Beth Israel, Hadassah, Bnai Brith Women, Sisterhood Temple in Sarasota, Flint Jewish Community Council and Sarasota Jewish Community Council. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Rita J. Silver- man; a sister, Mrs. Regina Gross- man of Yonkers; two brothers, Morris and Isadore Goldenberg of Flint; and three grandchildren.
