The Sisterhood of Cong. Beth
Achim is scheduling its annual
Antique Fair and Art Show for 10
a.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 1, and 10 a.m.-'
5 p.m Nov. 2 at the synagogue.
Ways and means vice president
Mrs. Abe Meral, announces her
chairman and co-chairman of the
day are Mrs. Kenneth Belen and
Mrs. Leo . Gaspas, respectively.
There will be 25 dealers with
antiques and objets d'art- includ-
ing crystal and cut glass, jewelry,
clocks, mirrors, furniture ' and
Oriental rugs.
Candles, primitives and bric-a-
brac sculpture, paintings and litho-
graphs, as well as a boutique and
gift shop and country store with

candies, cakes and goodies will be
featured.
Mrs. Jerome Silberman, cafe
chairman, and her committee will
.run meals and snacks both days.
Sisterhood President Mrs. Simon
Bermanis announces that the pro-
ceeds will go toward the syna-
gogue building. Tickets may be
purchased at the door.

"Born Yesterday," the Garson
Kanin comedy, will open the Cen-
ter Theater season 8:30 p.m. Oct.
31 at the Jewish Center.
The cast, di-
rected by John
Rogers, includes

Ronald Tolson
and Carol Duvall,
WWJ television
personality, who
plays Billie
Dawn, the role
made famous by
Judy
Holliday.

Wright, William Hart, Delphine
Levinson, Martin Reisig, Don Lang-
ley, Shirley Medow, Mort Weis-
ling, Bill Yeager, Ed Fowler, Diane
Abrams and Allan Kroker.
Rogers majored in theater at
Michigan State University and was
associated for many years with the
Vanguard Theater. He directed
many shows in collaboration with
Vic Hurwitz at Temple Beth
He has directed some 25 plays in
community and university theaters.
"Born Yesterday" will continue
Nov. 1, 4, 5 and 7. The Sunday
show begins at 7:30 p.m. •

Moetzet Hapoalot co-chairman.
A coffee hour will precede the

on Music Appreciation

An Endiwment Fund Tax Institute held ander the auspices of
the Jewish Welfare Federation and United Jewish Charities drew a
capacity crow* of lawyers, accountants and insurance men to the
Standard City Club this week - (photo above). Gathered before the
start of the evadng -Dead= are (from left) Milton J. Killer, chair-
man of the Endowment Fund of Federation; Norman Sugarman,
Cleveland attorney and authority on federal laws, who addressed the
meeting; Miles Jaffe, chairman of the institute; and William Avrunin,
executive vise president of the Federation. Sugarman, a former as-
sistant commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service and a mem-
ber of the board of directors of the Tax Institute of America, spoke
on "The Federation Foundation Instead of the Private Foundation."
