This award "for outstanding showman- ship, displayed in the promotion and merchandising of motion pic- tures" has been presented annually for 36 years by Martin Quigley, publisher of Motion Picture Daily and Motion Picture Herald. Selec- tion of Grew for this honor was made to New York by a panel of motion picture industry executives. Grew won his award for the pro- motion of "Airport" at the Northland Theater. Grew transformed the theater lobby into an airline terminal decorated with airline and travel posters, outfitted the doormen as airline captains and the usherettes as stewardesses. "Airport" is now in its 32nd week at the Northland Theater. San Diego Jewish Service to Counsel Delinquents SAN DIEGO (JTA),Officials of the Jewish Family Service of San Diego have announced plans to combat juvenile delinquency by taking counseling into the homes of San Diego residents. Mrs. Marrianne Kaye, the JFS execu- tive director, said that the program would be aimed at families with children who have been arrested two or three times and with younger children moving toward delinquent behavior. Wedding to Mr.- Lake issued about unified efforts to double the income of the United Jewish Appeal and Israel Bonds. Weisman's statement declares that "The JNF will, of course, con- tinue, as in the past, to give clear- ance and priority to the major campaigns," but denied that tra- ditional efforts will be curtailed in any way. Weisman called upon JNF direc- tors throughout the country to im- plement the resolution passed at the last meeting of the JNF board of directors, which states, in part, that: "The Jewish National Fund, in compliance with the 'Resolution on the Keren Kayemeth Leisrael (Jewish National Fund),' of the Zionist General Council of Feb- ruary-March, 1970, will, within the framework of its plan and desire to cooperate with and yield prior- ity to the emergency campaigns, continue to conduct its Zionist traditional activities in the fields of fund raising, culture, education and information 'through time- honored and well-established tra- ditional media.'
