It marks the National Philatelic Exhibition—Tabit—In Tel Aviv. The stamp is in a one Israeli pound denomination. Its color is light brown. Its motif is the Tel Aviv Post Office building. A. Prat is the designer. Beth Moses USY Sets 'Israeli Night' Beth Moses Senior United Syna- gogue Youth will present an "Israeli Night" 8 p.m. Saturday at the synagogue. There will be Israeli dancing and singing, movies and refreshments. Itzhak Margalit, a captain in the Israel Army who is head of the Hebrew department at the Jewish Center, will speak. The group will join the Project Outcry torchlight parade leaving from Dexter-Davison Market park- ing lot 7 p.m. Sunday and con- tinuing with a rally at Temple Emanu-El. Akiva Action Line By AUDREY KRAKOVITS (Audrey is 12 years old and in Akiva's 7th grade. She has attend- ed Akiva since its inception and is presently secretary of the Student Council. She collects stamps and post cards and is hoping to visit Israel next summer.) Candidates Milliken, Levin, Hart and Romney are not the only ones competing for votes on Nov. 3, Election Day. Akiva students also will be voted into office then as Student Council officers and rep- resentatives. Each class will be represented in the council by one permanent representative and one alternate. Candidates for president will be selected from the 9th grade, vice president from the 8th grade, sec- retary from the 7th and treasurer from the 6th. Students are campaigning this week with posters, speeches and friendly talks. There's a lot of ex- citement here. General Assembly of Habonim Today Habonim Labor Zionist Youth will hold its first Asefa Klalit, general assembly, 8 p.m. today at the Workmen's Circle Center. The assembly is the highest decision- making body of the ken (local branch). At the Asefa Klalit, all members have voting privileges and may express opinions, similar to the way that a kibutz democratically functions. Tephilin Club to Begin at Bnai Moshe Sunday Bnai Moshe Talis and Tephilin Club will begin its program 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the synagogue. The group meets Sunday mornings for services, breakfast and a bowling league. The club is open to all boys age 13-18. Freshmen and Sophomore United Synagogue Youth chapters of Bnai Moshe will meet for a hay ride 2 p.m. Sunday at the congregation and will proceed to Roy's Ranch Youth News Sweet Project to Bring Joy to Needy Children Mr. and Mrs. Louis Landau, 24231 Gardner, Oak Park, again are offering to take Halloween unwant- ed candy for neglected and delin- quent children in the Oakland County area. Last year, the Landaus collected 2,000 pounds of candy for needy children. They have engaged in this project for 11 years.
