TEL AVIV - (JTA) - Nathan
Nets Harpaz, 80, one of the found-
ers of Ahdut Ha-Avoda, the fore-
runner of the labor movement of
Palestine and later Israel, died
Oct. 10 at his home. He was a
member of the first Knesset from
1945 to 51.
Born in Poland, he came to Is-
rael-then Palestine-in 1908 as
one of the "second aliya." He was
founder of the Agricultural Center
and was a member of the National
Committee of the Jewish Popula-
tion in Palestine, the Zionist Cen-.
tral Committee and Mapai and lad
