Jerusalem College Starts Its Third Year

ber of last year.
The American College offers a
bachelor of arts degree in Jewish
humanities, social sciences, Middle
Eastern and Jewish studies. This
is the only American sponsored
college in Israel in which all in-
struction is in English. It is a
four-year liberal arts college
which is nonsectarian and co-edu-
cationaL Credits are accepted by
American colleges.
The faculty includes Dr. Gershon
Winer, dean of the Jewish Teach-
ers Seminary and People's Univer-
sity as visiting professor of educa-
tion and Yiddish studies; Dr. Isa-
dore Keyfitz, former chairman of
the department of Oriental studies
at the University of Missouri; Dr.
Sarah Feder, former national presi-
dent of Pioneer Women, professor
of sociology at the University of
Missouri; and Dr. Theodore Fried-
