Wiesenthal Is Suing
Austrian Socialists
Over Center Threat

NEW YORK (JTA) — Simon
Wiesenthal has filed suit against
the central secretariat of the So-
cialist Party of Austrian Chancel-
lor Bruno Kreisky, the Nazi-hunter
reported in a Sept. 14 letter re-
ceived here by Harry Evans, a
supporter of Wiesenthal's Docu-
mentation Center in Vienna.
Wiesenthal wrote he had started
the suit because the secretariat
had denied his charge that the
Austrian government had threat-
ened to shut down the center. He
labeled as "blasphemous" the
Austrian government's statement
that the center would be allowed
to remain open as long as it ad-
hered to Austrian law. He con-
demned the implication of that
statement, asking "Is there any-
thing illegal that the Documenta-
tion Center has already done?"
A spokesman for the Austrian
Consulate here, queried about the
suit, said he had no information
about the matter.

University Course
for the Very Young

TEL AVIV—Twenty-three young-
sters, 12 to 15 years old, completed
a first-year mathematics course at
Tel Aviv University recently. The
children all have extraordinary
high IQs, with the minimum at 140.
The course was organized by the
Dean of Students and head of the
University's Statistics Department,
Prof. Ammon Yakimowskl, and

was financed by the I.B.M. Com-
pany as part of its program to pro-
mote science projects in Israel.
It is estimated that at least one
per cent of the city's elementary
and high school population has
high I.Q.'s, but the course it Tel
Aviv was the first attempt to pro-
vide them with suitable educational
