Shimon Alexandroni, Israel's eco-
nomic minister to the United
States, will be guest speaker at the
Capital for Israel dinner 6:30 p.m.
Sept. 28 at the Baal Moshe social
hall, it was announced by Norman
Allan, chairman of the Detroit
Chapter of Capital for Israel.
Born in Tel Aviv, Alexandroni
served in the Hagana. lie was in
the Israel War of Liberation and
in combat during the Six-Day War.
A graduate of the Jerusalem
Law School, he is one of Israel's
leading attorneys, and his clients
have included some of the most
important enterprises in Israel.

bride of Stuart-Michael Nelson in
a recent ceremony at the Raleigh

Albert Lee, 59, auditor general
of the state of Michigan, has been
reappointed to the Southfield Build-
ing Authority Commission for a
five-year term. His current term
expires Oct. 29.
The building au-
thority is appoint-
ed by council to
direct and control
t h e construction
of public build-
ings in South-
field. Lee, origi-
nally appointed to
fill a vacancy on
the authority in
July 1968, has Lee
served as treasurer since that
time. The auditor general has prac-
ticed public accounting since 1945.

5 Pct. Bonus to Be Added
to Interest on U.S. Bonds
Secretary of the Treasury David
M. Kennedy, acting to implement
a--law signed by President Nixon,
announced that a .5 per cent bonus
will be added to the interest rate
paid to longer-term holders of
U. S. Savings Bonds.
This bonus will raise the effec-
tive interest rate on new bonds,
when held to maturity, from 5 to
51/2 per cent.
The increase, which is retroac-
tive to June 1, 1970, also will re-
sult in improved yields on out-
standing Series E and Series H
Bonds.
