• Abramov Blames Two Ambulances Donated to Israel's USSR for Ferment Red Cross by Michigan Families Addressing the Zionist Organiza- tion of Detroit, at the Zionist Cultural Center, Sept. 10, S. Z. Abramov, member of the Israel Kneiset, declared that the ferment created by the Soviet Union is pri- marily responsible for the Middle East turmoil. Commenting on the current state of terror created by Idjaeldng of planes, Abramov said that the trouble stemmed from terrorism which is apparently the only means used by a small band of Ara* who, if they wish to conduct a war, should meet Israelis on the battlefield. Congressman Emanuel Celler, national chairman of American Red Mogen Dovid for Israel, com- mended the gifts of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Slomovitz and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Handleman, the latter of Detroit and Miami. The ambulan- ces were shipped. to- Israel after their dedication in New York which was attended by the donors.
