MRS. THEODORE GOLDEN

The Jewiai Center will function
this year as one of many learning
centers for 'Wayne County Com-
munity College.
Facilities of the center were
officially made available to the col-
lege in brief -ceremonies Sept. 4.
Director Irwin Shaw and his
assistant, Mort Plotnick, acted for
the center in welcoming acting
President -Murray Jackson and
trustee Albert Finly of the college.
' :Some two dozen college courses
will be offered by WCCC at the
Center this fall, in the main
building. Courses range from
ecology to Afro-American his-
tory, from modern dance_ to ac-
counting.
Also on hand for the opening of
the instructional facility were State
Representative Jack Faxon; Lester
Kirk, of the WCCC citizen's ad-
visory committee; and a number
of students from the college.

Nancy Ellen Katz and Dr. Theo-
dore A. P. Golden were recently
married in a candlelight ceremony
at Temple Israel. Rabbi M. Robert
Syme and Cantor Harold Orbach
officiated.
Parents of the couple are Dr.
and Mrs. Ben J. Katz of Golfview
Ave., Troy, and Dr. H. Maxwell
Golden of Flint.
The—bride wore a Victorian-
style gown of silk organza, with
bodice, sleeves, hem and train
embroidered in peau d'ange. The
full veil and headpiece were
trimmed in matching lace. She
carried her mother's Bible with
a bouquet of roses and baby's
breath.
Mrs. Allan Katz served as mat-
ron of honor. Bridesmaids were
the bridegroom's sisters, Mrs.
Richard Mandell and , Debra and
Karen Golden. The bridegr_oorn's
brother, Robert Golden, served as
best man. Ushers were Dr. Allan
Katz, Gary Katz, Douglas Golden
and Richard Mandell.
The couple left for a honeymoon
in Canada and New England.
