Super-Sol Offers Gift Certificates
to Americans for Use of Israeli Friends

Super-Sol, Israel's Canadian-own-
ed chain of supermarkets, has in-
troduced a new service to those
who seek useful and gracious
-means of expressing affection and
friendship to friends and family in
Israel.

It consists of gift certificates in
denominations of $10, $18 (hai), $25
and $50 which enable the recipient
in Israel to buy any of the 10,000
food and nonfood items carried by
the 14 Super-Sol stores in the coun-
try.

It avoids the pitfall of sending
gifts which may not be needed or
on which friends and relatives may
have to pay customs duties far in
excess of their value.

The new service has the advan-
tage of letting the recipient choose
what he needs most; it also boosts
the flow of foreign currency, vital
to the country's economy.

Senders in the U. S. and Can-
ada airmail a check to Super-Sol
at the head office, P.O. Box 248,
Bnei-Brak, together with the
names and addresses of those in
Israel who are to receive the
gift. Super-Sol then sends gift
certificates together with the per-
sonal greetings of the sender.
The latter is notified by Super-Sol
