Sander Raimi, 16-year-old son of
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard R. Raimi,
25050 Devon, Franklin, died Sun-
day in Israel, where he was at-
tending a summer science session
at Weizmann Institute. He was a
drowning victim.
A native Detroiter, Sander at-
tended Groves High School, Bir-
mingham, where he was a mem-
ber of the National Honor Society.
Sander was chosen to attend the
Weizmann Institute session be-
cause of his outstanding scholastic
achievements. He was the young-
est of 65 students from throughout
the world. The family asked that
memorial contributions go to the
institute.
Surviving besides his parents
are three brothers, Ivan, Samuel
and Theodore; a sister, Andrea;
and his grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Richard Greenspon.

Kate Geller, past vice president
of the Ladies Auxiliary, Turover
Aid Society, died Wednesday at
age 75.
Mrs. Geller, 20424 Schaefer, also
belonged to the Liberty Social
Club and the Ladies Auxiliary,
Jewish Home for the Aged. Born
in Russia, she lived in Detroit 33
yeats.
Surviving are a son, Samuel; a
daughter. Mrs. Nathan (Esther)
Weisberg; a brother, Rubin Bunick
of Boston; and four grandchildren.

missed in all Jewish quarters.

Philip Bernstein,
Leader in Scouts

Philip H. Bernstein. a recipient
of the Bov Scouts of America's
highest adult award, the Silver
Beaver, and district commander
of the Boy Scouts for 25 years,
died last Saturday at age 56.
Mr. Bernstein, a native Detroit-
er, was a supervisor of the Chal-
fonte Building Co. for the past six
years and formerly was employed
for 34 years with Moer's Engrav-
ing Co. He resided at 19760 Stans-
bury.
His wife, Lillian, is a staff mem-
ber of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, in charge of the Junior Divi-
sion.
Other survivors are a son, Jer-
rold of Willowdale , Ont.; a daugh-
ter, Cynthia; his mother. Mrs.
Mary Bernstein; a brother, Sam;
two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Flor-
ence) Schindler and Mrs. Lillian
Gray; and one grandchild.

ANTON RUBERT. 4813 Sedge-
moor, Royal Oak, died Aug. 19.
Survived by his wife, Ruth; and
one sister.

HATTIE SHULMAN, 1121 Van
Dyke, died Aug. 22. She leaves a
son, Dr. Herschel; two daughters.
Mrs. Joseph (Charlotte) Fink of
