since its initiation in 1951 and are
active in other communal and
fewish causes. Joe Shifman has

Mendel Shifman has been a mei:il-
l-3er of Pisgah Lodge, Bnai Britn,
:or 40 years and is a member of
Mosaic Lodge of Masons. The Shif-
mans came to Detroit from the
Minsk area in White Russia,
nearly 50 years ago, soon after
the end of World War I. They have
311 been prominent in the clothing
