Ka te 31:Abraham Weds
Mr. Stocker in Ohio

MRS. JOEL STOCKER

Kate M. Abraham, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. M. Loth Newburgh
of Cincinnati, was married to Joel
Leslie Stocker last Saturday eve-
ning at Losantiville Country Club,
Cincinnati.
Mr. Stocker is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Frederick Stocker of
Maryland Ave., Southfield.
Rabbi Solomon T. Greenfield per-
formed the ceremony, followed by
a reception and dinner.
The bride wore a sleeveless silk
organza gown. Yellow and white
embroidery etched the high neck-
line, molded Empire bodice and
the hemline of the softly gathered
A-line skirt. A full chapel train
swept from the back waistline,
bordered with the same lace. The
bridal veil consisted of triple tiers
of English silk illusion, bordered
with matching Venise lace. She
carried a cluster of Stephanotis
and ivy with pale yellow sweet-
heart roses.
Mrs. C. Lee Abraham and
Mrs. Richard Abraham were

matrons of honor. Attendants

were Mrs. Peter Frankel of San
Francisco, Mrs. Stephen Frank,
Joanne Dresner and Carolyn
Dreyfoos, all of Detroit, and
Caren Schiro.
Richard Feinberg of Detroit was
best man. Ushers were Michael
and Kenneth Stocker of Detroit,
the bridegroom's brothers, C. Lee
and Richard Abraham, the bride's
brothers, Michael Nogrady of Bat-
tle Creek and Frank Vivian of

JNF Women Decide
to Keep Original
Plans for Forest

The Women of Jewish National
Fund are proceeding with plans
for a women's forest in honor of
the organization's 40th anniver-
sary, as originally announced in
January, according to Mrs. Albert
Posen, president.
Several weeks ago, an announce-
ment was made that funds slated
for the women's forest would be
used for a memorial forest near
Kibutz Kiryat Shemona in mem-
ory of those slain by Arab terror-
ists.
However, according to Mrs.
Posen, it was decided that both
projects could be consolidated and
that a forest of 20,000 trees be

planted.
Revised plans now call for the
planting of a memorial forest
within the women's forest. These
plans also call for the establish-
ment of a recreation and play-
ground area, surrounded by the
forest.
