Rockefeller Urges Immediate Plane Sale to Israel

Tuesday that it was "a very bad
mistake" for Secretary of Defense
Melvin R. Laird to play down
Israel's charges of Soviet and
Egyptian standstill violations along
the Suez Canal.
Laird said in a television inter-
view Sunday that it was "very
difficult to prove or disprove" such
violations up to 18 hours before or
after the standstill ceasefire went
into effect, and that "the impor-
tant thing is for us to move for-
ward" with peace negotiations.
Goldberg, taking his campaign to
