HOUGHTON—Harry Cohodas, a
Polish-born fruit distributor, died
Tuesday in the Upper Peninsula
community of Hancock.
Cohodas, '79, with his brothers,
Sam and Max, built his career as
a
produce merchant, acquiring
holdings in California, Washing-
ton and Mexico. Later the family
went into the banking business
in the Upper Peninsula.
At his death, Cohodas was pres-
ident of Superior National Bank
and Trust Co., in 'Hancock, and
treasurer of Cohodas Paoli Pro-
duce Co., in Houghton.
