Names Board
Mrs. Julian H. Scott, president
of the Fresh Air Society, announces
the election of Mrs. Arnold Frank,
Robert Kasle, Dr. Marcus Sugar-
man, Marvin Danto, Miles Jaffe,
Robert Steinberg, Dr. Leslie Pens-
ler and Samuel Schiff to the board
of directors.
Re-elected for a three-year term
were Mrs. Louis Harley, Dr. Oscar
D. Schwartz, Mrs. Milford Stein
and Allan Nachman.
The nominating committee con-
sisted of Leslie Rose, chairman.
Mrs. Samuel Chapin, Dr. David
Faigenbaum and Fred Winkelman.
The election took place at the
society's annual meeting at Camp
Tamarack, Brighton, Sunday.
There are approximately 406,000
Arabs presently living in Israel.
Of these, 72.2 per cent are Mos-
lems, 17.8 per cent are Christians,
and 8 per cent are Druzes and
others.

UHS Enrolling Pupils for Fall Classes
The United Hebrew Schools is
accepting registration for fall
classes beginning Sept. 9 for all
students of the elementary de-
partment.
The five-year requisite for grad-
uation and Bar Mitzva requires
that students be enrolled in a
Jewish school when they are eight
years old. There is no extra charge
for Bar or Bat Mitzva preparation,
since this is a regular part of the
program.

Haifa Community Center
HAIFA—The largest center in its
network of 16 major community
centers throughout Israel was
opened this week by the Moetzet
Hapoalot-Pioneer Women in Haifa.
The three-story facility will pro-
vide social, cultural and vocational
training progams and a day nur-
sery to serve residents of the re-
gion. including many immigrants.
The building was built by 25 con-
tributors from the United States,
through the auspices of the Pioneer
Women. One third of the means
came from Israeli sources.
