for four Tuesday evening sessions

gregation's Southfield building.
Bernard Panush, chairman of the
synagogue's adult education com-
mission, said this education "tour"
is designed to familiarize the pub-
lic with the liturgical content and
structure of the High Holy Day
prayer book, the concepts and
themes associated with Rosh Has-
hana and Yom Kippur and the
melodies and messages incorpor-
ated in famous compositions writ-
ten especially for the season.
"Tour guides" will be Rabbis
Milton Arm and Benjamin Gorre-
lick and Cantor Simon Bermanis.

Because Labor Day will occur
on Monday, Sept. 7, The Jewish
News will have an early pub-
licity deadline for the issue of
Sept. 11. All copy must be sub-
mitted no later than noon Fri-
day, Sept. 4.
Bnai Moshe Religious School will
open Sept. 13 with an anticipated
enrollment of 500 students.
Classes are conducted from kin-
dergarten (age 5) through grade
11 (age 16).
Students attend one session of
11/2 hours if enrolled through the
third grade. Students in the fourth
and fifth grades are introduced to
the study of Hebrew and attend
two session, usually from 9 a.m. to
noon.
In May, 10th grade graduates
will participate in consecration
exercises.
Walter Farber, director of Bnai
Moshe Religious School, will talk
with parents about their children's
Jewish education. Nonmembers are
welcome.
