David Racossin, 74, Former Detroiter David Racossin, a former De- troiter, who, upon his graduation from the University of Michigan, was named executive treasurer of the General Motors' Far East Op- eration and lived in India for several years while holding that office, died after a brief illness in Norwood, Mass., June 24, at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife, the former Esther Robinson of Detroit: a daughter, Mrs. Mira Fogel of New Bedford, Mass.; a brother, Harry, of Washington, and four grandchildren. Racossin, after his services with GM, founded and became president of Raybond Electronics Co. in Nor- wood, Mass. He formed an electronic-heating company after his discharge from the army as a major in 1945. His company used high frequency radio gluing equip- ment for furniture. The name of his company was changed in 1955 to Raybond Electronics and 10 years later Mr. Racossin sold the plant to Wilcox and Gibbs. He re- mained in executive control of the company until his death.
