The World Union of Jewish Stu-
dents will hold its 15th trienniel
congress at the WUJS Institute,
Arad. Israel, July 24-31. The par-
ticipants will include 120 delegates
and 40 invited observers, and it is
expected that about 50 other ob-
servers. including the press, will
be present.
The delegates will come from 34
countries, including the United
States and Canada.
There will also be observers
from four other countries.
Before the congress starts dele-
gates will have full discussions on
topics such as the Middle East,
•Soviet Jewry, Zionist ideology,
Jewish co-existence (religious and
non-religious polarization in Israel)
and the situation of Jewish students
in the Diaspora.
In Jerusalem, the official open-
ing of Congress will take place
July 25 with the participation of
prominent Israeli personalities, in-
cluding Mordechai Bar-On, head
of the youth and Hechalutz depart-
ment, Jewish Agency, and Arie
Eliav, secretary general of the
Israel Labour Party.
