Krolik's comthittee that the nurs-
ing career brings pride and dig-
nity to the nurse's family, as well
as fills an important need in hos-
pitals, which suffer an acute
shortage of graduate professional
nurses.

The committee is seeking funds
to continue its assistance to the
nursing students, many of whom
need special remedial programs
and money for carfare and lunches.
Their families have indicated they
are willing to make the necessary
sacrifice, and in several instances
later found ways of meeting their
own needs without outside aid for
maintenance.
