Return From Europe

MRS. ROBERT LEVINE

Dr. and Mrs. Robert Levine were
married recently at Adas Shalom
Synagogue. Mrs. Levine is the for-
mer Faye . Paula Chernikov, daugh-
ter of Mrs. Beth Chernikov of Pen-
nigton Dr. and the late Abe Cher-
nikov.
Dr. Levine is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Levine of Knob Woods
Dr. Southfield.
Upon their return from a trip to
Europe, they have taken up resi-
dence in Beverly Hills, Mich.

Brandeis Women
to Hear Panel of
College Students

Election of officers, a panel dis-
cussion by Brandeis University
students and a report on the June
4.7 National Women's Committee
conference and institute are on the
agenda for the Detroit Chapter
meeting 12:30 Monday at the home
of Mrs. David Handleman, 19285
Strathcona.
Preceding the meeting, dessert
and coffee will be served.
The nominating committee con-
sists of Mesdames Arthur Bloom,
Leonard Birndorf, Bernard Farber,
Sidney Imerman, Marshall Miller
and Eugene Sims, under the chair-
manship of Mrs. Harold Robinson.
The slate consists of president,
Mrs. Aubrey Goldman; vice
presidents, Mesdames Sidney
Caplan, Bernard Farber and
Joseph Kerzman; treasurer, Mrs.
Merle Polen, and secretaries,
Mesdames Robert Schlaff, Sam
Willis, Herbert Katie and Alan
Colman.
Mrs. Philip Marcuse, program
chairman, advises that Brandeis
students will discuss "The College
Student Views Today's World."

Steven Bennett, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Marvin A. Bennett of Adrian

was graduated from the University
of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
Dr. Bennett attended the Univer-
sity of Michigan and was grad-
uated cum laude from the Univer-
sity of Michigan Medical School.
He was affiliated with AOA and
Phi Delta Epsilon Fraternity. A
June wedding is planned.

They attended the Bar Mitzva functions for Robert Starkman, son of
Dr. and Mrs. Morris Starkman.
Mr. and Mrs. William Colman of Marlow Ave., Oak Park and Mr.
and Mrs. Edward H. Friedman of Carmona Ave., Southfield, recently
returned from a four-day visit to Montreal where they attended the
1970 General Agency Business Conference of Sun Life Insurance Co.
of America. Approximately 150 leading general agency representatives
of Sun Life took part in the four-day conference.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris J. Order and their son Gerald of Freeland Ave.
just returned from a trip to Israel where they visited Mrs. Order's
sister, Rose Malemud, whom she hadn't seen in 40 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Iden of Elgin Ave., Huntington Woods, enter-
tained over 70 family members at a buffet dinner last weekend at
their home. The honor of the 16th birthday of their daughter, Elaine,
the graduation, cum laude of daughter Lauren from Berkley High
School; the graduations of Lauren and son Bruce from the religious
school of Beth Shalom; and Mrs. Iden's graduation from WSU, which
will take place June 20, when she will be awarded an MA in history.
In town for the golden anniversary of Meyer and Minnie Inden-
baum of Saratoga Ave., Oak Park, are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar C. Kersh
of Atlanta, their daughter Shelly and her two daughters from Sarasota,
and daughter Jill from Long Island; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard, their son,
daughter and future son-in-law, also from Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Bernstein and sons from Brooklyn; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and
nephews and great-grandnieces. Also attending will be Mr. and Mrs.
Toby Kritzer, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kritzer and Mrs. Clara Rosenfeld,
all of Cleveland.
Recently celebrating their 20th anniversary, Phil and Muriel Silver-
stein of Harding Ave., Oak Park, took a tour of London. Helping them
celebrate were Jim and Rose Silverstone and Sol and Ethel LaKind. •
