ZOD Elects Dr. Joel I. Hamburger

At the recent annual meeting of
the Zionist Organization of Detroit,
Dr. Joel I. Hamburger was elect-
ed president.

Vote" and discussions on "Who
Makes It and Who Doesn't," with
specific Detroit examples, will be
featured on Friday morning and
afternoon. Sessions will start at 10
a.m.
That evening, the conference will
center on "Peoples of Detroit" by
Prof. Feinstein; a discussion of
"Community and Survival"; and
discussion groups on "The State of
Ethnic Institutions."
The conference concludes June
13. A session on "People and Insti-
tutions: Problems and Prospects
for Detroit" will be followed by

a conference at Wayne State Uni-
versity June 11-13.
Experts will share their ideas
and experiences with several hun-
dred participants in a series of
general meetings, seminars and
social events.
This conference on the Ethnic
Communities of Greater Detroit is
chaired by Prof. Otto Feinstein of
Wayne State University's Monteith
College. More than 50 organiza-
tions, including American Jewish
Committee, are among the spon-
sors.
