THOSE WHO SEEK authentic

natives prepare it, have no further
to look than right here in our own
Detroit ... It's a little place called
Taj Mahal at 4209 Cass Ave.. cor-
ner of Willis, about three blocks
south of Wayne University . . . In-
deed an enchanting culinary ex-
perience' Nothing fancy, seat-
ing for only about 40, but the food
is unbelievably delicious . . My
extremely delightful fare started
with Samosa, which are turnovers
stuffed with either vegetables or
beef and peas, depending on your
taste or diet . . . I had the beef,
and dipped each piece with onion

chutney relish, a wondrous delight
. . Then a combination of Saag,
which is spinach and lamb, and
3lasala Brunna, a prepared chicken
dish the likes of which I have sel-
dom tasted more delicious . . . Of
course, with both these entrees
was the very delectable Paratha, a ' I

it looked like a preserved fruit, but
was a hot ball of extreme delicacy

ANGEL'S HOUR GLASS on W.
McNichols 6 blocks west of South-
field, still holds sway as one of the
top all-around niteries in town,

and a third locale is being sought
in the northwest . . . The former
