Single Adults Group Elects New Officers

In its ninth annual election,
Criterion Club for single adults
chose William Fleisher- as presi-
dent for the 1970-71 term. He suc-
ceeds Nate Rubin, who has served
since June 1968.
Other elected officers were the
following: vice presidents, Sally
Sidran, Betty Weinberg and Mil-
dred Madven; secretaries, Ida
Zabel and Lilyan Rosenblatt;

treasurer, Bernard Lumberg; his.
torian, Sidney Berman; counselor,
Nate Rubin; and directors, Sara
Fleisher, Manuel Helfman, Edith
Finkel, Sylvia Lumberg and
Bertha Miller.
The officers will be installed at
a dinner-dance June 6 at North-
wood Inn. The public is welcome.
Reservations may be made until
Wednesday by calling Betty Wein-
berg, 532-8855.

MRS. DONALD WAGNER

In an evening ceremony Sunday,
Dorothy Miriam Weiss was wed to
Donald Alan Wagner. Rabbi Moses
Lehrman and Rabbi Leon Fram
officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Theodore Weiss of Wood-
villa Pl., Southfield and Mr. and
Mrs. Maurice Wagner of Glouces-
ter Dr.
The bride wore a gown and coat
ensemble of imported Alencon lace
and silk satin. The Empire gown
was fashioned with a high neck-
line and long fitted sleeves. The
chapel-length train was attached
from watteau folds of the lace
coat. An open toque of lace flower
clusters held the tiered veil of im-
ported silk illusion. The bride car-
ried her Bible with small bud
roses.
Sandra Englander of Denver
served as maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Julie Ann Wagner,
sister of the bridegroom, Mrs.
James Wagner, Lois Gottlieb, Rhea
Englander, Shelly Bruck and Mrs.
Melvin Moss.
Best man was James Wagner of
Dayton, brother of the bridegroom.
Ushers were Arthur Weiss, brother
of the bride, Sol Friedman, Michael
Weisberger, Donald Kurzman and
Joe Pick.
After a honeymoon is Spain, the
couple will reside in Washington,
D.C.

DETROIT will hold its annual din-
ner meeting in the Women's City
Club 7 p.m. Wednesday. Three re-
cital debuts are scheduled for the
Pro Musica Society in the coming
season: pianist Malcolm Frager,
Nov. 20; soprano Helen Boat-
wright, Jan. 22; aitellie 'Orford
String Quartet, March 12.






Oakland Groups Join

Sisterhoods and Jewish women's
organization are being invited to
tell what they do for the commun-
ity — locally, nationally and inter-
nationally — during the Oakland
County Sesquicentennial Women's
Week July 19-25.
Mrs. Charles Toby, chairman of
women's activities for the event,
is encouraging groups to display
their activities at the shopping
mall in their area:
Those whose members live pri-
marily south of 14 Mile and west
of Woodward (Oak Park, Hunting.
ton Woods, Southfield, etc.), will
meet 1 p.m. June 17 at Tel-12
Mall, where one exhibit area will
be set up. Birmingham and Bloom-
field groups will show their work
at Somerset Mall. Other groups
north of 14 Mile will have their
displays at Pontiac Mall.
Mrs. Toby, a member of Bnai
Israel Sisterhood, Pontiac, lives
on St. Joseph Rd., West Bloom-
field Twp., with her husband
and four children. She is active
in the Jaycess Auxiliary of Pon-
tiac.
